Know Your Grounds
Below is a site map of our Strathdale home base, showing the location of each pitch, toilets, and the canteen.
Parking Info: To accommodate the large number of games scheduled each day, we’ve also highlighted available parking areas for your convenience. Please do not park at the radio station on Reservoir Road — this is private property.
Safety First: When entering the main ground parking area, please drive slowly, obey the speed limits, and keep an eye out for children.
Let’s work together to make this a safe, smooth, and successful season. Remember: many hands make light work!

Field Setup and Packup
If you are the first team playing your match on a field, and you are listed as the home side (listed first on the draw) then it is your team’s responsibility to set up the field.
The U6/7 goals will be located in the cricket cages, and they are the small goals.
Under 8-9 use the small portable goals which are located in the main shed next door to the club rooms.
Under 10-12 use the larger portable goals which are kept in the Cricket nets. The corner flags will also be needed from the main shed.
Under14-U16's will need to get the nets and flags from the main shed and set them up. A match ball can be obtained from the clubrooms.
If you are the last team playing your match on a field, and you are listed as home side (listed first on the draw) then it is your teams responsibility to pack away the field.
Check the homepage of this website for the homegames by field each week. This is an easy way to know if you are first of last on a given pitch.

Match Day Uniform
SOCCER PLAYING SHIRTS
The supplied Strathdale Soccer Club playing shirts are for use on game days only. They are not to be worn at training. For the duration of the season the family is responsible for the cleaning of the shirt. Care is required when washing, please inform all families not to use bleach, iron or place in the clothes dryer. Please note NO alterations are to be made to these, this includes hemming tops or naming tops. These will incur a replacement shirt charge to the individual.
The manager will hand these out to players at the start of the season & collect on the last match of the season (washed). This is best achieved by reminding families to bring an extra top on the last game of the season so that at the end of the game the team manager can collect all soccer shirts to wash and arrange for their return as a set.
Each child’s shirt will have an iron on number on the tag. This number will be recorded against your child’s name to assist us with identifying any missing shirts at the end of the season.
MATCH DAY SHIRTS SHOULD NOT BE WORN FOR TRAINING
TEAM UNIFORMS
Each child needs to supply their own shin guards, soccer boots, Strathdale socks and shorts. Strathdale socks & shorts can be purchased from Sportspower Bendigo, 342 Hargreaves Street, Bendigo(Opposite JB HiFi). Mention Strathdale Soccer Club to receive 10% off.
Strathdale training shirts are available as well as other club merchandise. These can be purchased through our online shop at Breach Apparel. Beanies & scarves can be purchased directly through club from our canteen or by contacting a junior coordinator. Link to online shop: https://www.breachapparel.com.au/strathdale-soccer-club/
PLAYING OTHER STRATHDALE TEAMS
When playing another Strathdale team for Under 8, 9 & 10 the ‘Away’ team will be required to wear the bibs. For competitive ages, U12, 14 & 16 an alternate playing strip/playing tops are available from the canteen. If the alternate tops are worn, can all tops please be collected post game and returned washed as a complete set the following week.
CANTEEN DUTY
Every game deserves a post-match treat—whether it’s a hot dog or a well-earned drink. The canteen plays an important role in our club, with all profits going directly back into purchasing equipment and covering day-to-day running costs.
This season, we’re asking for your support. A canteen roster will be shared at the beginning of the season, and each team will be asked to nominate a preferred day and time to assist. If a timeslot isn’t selected, one will be allocated. Don’t worry—full guidance and support will be provided on the day. Please note that children are unable to assist due to food handling regulations.
Our club relies heavily on volunteers to operate successfully. This includes coaches, team managers, canteen helpers, and committee members. If you’re able to lend a hand in any capacity, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch via phone or email—your support truly makes a difference.
